水性聚氨酯乳液粘度存在不同的分布范围,在不同领域应用时,对水性聚氨酯乳液的粘度有着不同的要求。除了可以通过添加增稠剂调节粘度外,从分子结构上也可以做到对水性聚氨酯乳液粘度的影响,具体包括亲水基团的含量、水性聚氨酯乳液的固含量,中和度等等。

水性聚氨酯结构上亲水基团含量影响乳液粒子的尺寸,也影响它的粘度。在阴离子水性聚氨酯中,当羧酸亲水基团增多时,胶粒尺寸减小,分布变窄,乳液粘度变大,因为胶粒与水间作用力增强。聚氨酯乳液的粘度与亲水单体的亲水性、粒子尺寸及尺寸分布以及聚氨酯乳液中粒子密度有关。
The content of hydrophilic group on the structure of waterborne polyurethane affects the size of emulsion particles and its viscosity. In anionic waterborne polyurethane, when the hydrophilic groups of carboxylic acids increase, the size of the colloidal particles decreases, the distribution becomes narrower, and the viscosity of the emulsion becomes larger, because the interaction force between the colloid and the water is enhanced. The viscosity of polyurethane emulsion is related to the hydrophilicity of hydrophilic monomer, particle size and size distribution, and particle density in polyurethane emulsion.
固含量对水性聚氨酯粘度和粒径的影响也很明显。当水性聚氨酯固含量较低时,亲水单体含量固定,固含量增大时,乳液中粒子数量也随之增大,乳胶粒与水间作用力增强,使乳液粘度增加。当水性聚氨酯乳液固含量过大时,预聚体在水中分散困难,乳胶粒尺寸变大,分布变宽,乳液粘度变小。
The effect of solid content on the viscosity and particle size of waterborne polyurethane is also obvious. When the content of waterborne polyurethane is low, the content of the hydrophilic monomer is fixed and the solid content increases, the number of particles in the emulsion increases and the force of latex particles and water increases, which increases the viscosity of the emulsion. When the solid content of waterborne polyurethane emulsion is too high, the dispersion of prepolymer in water is difficult, the size of latex particles increases, the distribution becomes wider, and the viscosity of emulsion decreases.
中和度也影响水性聚氨酯乳液粘度。制备水性聚氨酯的时候,由于亲水基团和中和剂双重作用,双电层效应影响粘度变化。中和度增加,粘度可能增加更多,所以制备水性聚氨酯时要严格控制中和度。
The neutralization degree also affects the viscosity of waterborne polyurethane emulsion. When preparing waterborne polyurethane, the double layer effect affects the viscosity change due to the double action of hydrophilic groups and neutralizer. The neutralization degree increases and the viscosity may increase more. Therefore, the neutralization degree must be strictly controlled when preparing waterborne polyurethane.
